Despite reading extensively about this sculpture and seeing tons of pictures, it is still awe-inspiring to see this monumental piece in reality. The execution, the details, and the expression is truly captivating. Plus, it's historical importance is enormous.

And one thing that becomes apparent when looking at all of Michelangelo's sculptures and paintings, is that he knew the male body extremely well. As for the female body, well, not so much. You can draw your own conclusions...
