While Florence is mostly a Renaissance town, we came across multiple parts of a large modern art installation by the Belgian artist Jan Faber. His very odd and quirky bronze statues are found all over the piazzas and gardens of the city. Here's a small sample of the installation entitled

Mario, the chrome heads in the garden remind me of several installations of former Soviet leader's busts that I saw in many cities in Kazakhstan.
