Working Venice in the morning

One interesting aspect of going around Venice early in the morning is that we could see the various people who make Venice work being active before the hordes of invading barbarians, I mean tourists, start packing the place.

The river boats and barges replace the trucks of our cities.

A crane mounted on a barge.
Bags of laudry from a hotel.
A refrigerated barge to deliver fish.
A convoy of barges.
Various produces and supplies.
Toilet paper anyone?
Delivering fresh produces to a restaurant.
